Abual Qadir Khan was born 15 September 1955. Abdul Qadir is a famous Pakistani international crickter. He was recently the chief selector of Pakistan cricket board. Qadir resigned from the post because of his differences with the top brass of Pakistan cricket board. Qadir main role was as a leg spin bowler. Qadir is widely ability as a top spin bowler of his generation and was included in Richie Benaud's greatest XI shortlist of imaginary cricket team from the best cricketer available from all countries and eras. Qadir made his start first-class cricket in Pakistan local competition between the 1975-76 season and, within 2 years. Abdul Qadir test start on his home ground in Lahore vs England in December 1977.
Abdul Qadir has a natural talent combined with aggression and passion one of the most successful spinners of his era. Qadir had a distinct run-up, bounding in to the crease and a great quality of deliveries. Qadir was the Orthodox leg-break, the top spinner, 2 googlies and the flipper. Qadir was unique for bowling leg spin at a time when it was not only rare but considered obsolete and Qadir kept the torch alight for a generation of leg spinner. Qadir fervent appeals made him a great popular with the spectators but sometimes got him into trouble with umpires. Abdul Qadir's 2nd test series, in England in 1978, Qadir was an injury-plagued let-down, but Qadir was a powerful and established force by his return in 1982, when his 6 wickets in the Lord's test match, Qadir played a major role in a historic Pakistani victory.
Abdul Qadir in 1982 till 1983 picked up twenty two wickets in only 3 test as Pakistan made a clean sweep of its home rubber vs Australia. Abdul Qadir became the 1st bowler to take hundred wickets in a Pakistani season as Pakistan cruised to its 1st ever series triumph over England. At the Kennington Oval in 1987, Qadir 10 wicket haul ensured another series win, this time in England.
Abdul Qadir in 1982/83 picked up 22 wickets in only three test matches as Pakistan made a whitewash of its home rubber V Australia. Qadir became the first bower to take 100 wickets in a Pakistani season. Abdul Qadir was very popular with Australian cricket lovers.Abdul Qadir took 19 wickets in three test matches the following season as Pakistan cruised to its first ever series triumph over England.
